Appointments

Doctors appointments, both in person and via telephone call, are available Monday – Friday between 8:30am and 5:30pm.

We also have telephone appointments available between 6:30pm and 7pm.

You can pre-book an appointment several weeks ahead.  

For routine appointments, you will be offered the first available appointment with the doctor of your choice, or another doctor if this is not convenient.

To request an urgent appointment for today (Monday to Friday):

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

To request a routine appointment:

• phone us on 01300 341666, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 6:30pm
• use our online system by clicking 'contact us online' at the top of this page
• visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 6:30pm

We do ask that requests be made before 10am where possible.

The doctors are happy to visit patients at home if they are either too ill or genuinely unable to travel to the surgery.

Home visits are much more time consuming and whilst sometimes necessary, it is not possible to provide the same level of service as is possible in the surgery, with all the equipment and other staff available.

You will be asked for additional information, including a contact number, so that we can attend cases according to the degree of urgency and so that the doctor can telephone and assess the appropriateness of the request for a home visit.

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

• by phone
• face to face at the surgery

Appointments by phone can be more flexible and often mean you get help sooner.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please let us know (even if only a few hours beforehand) so that we can offer it to another patient.

To cancel your appointment:

• use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
• use the GP online system via the link at the top of this page
• phone us on 01300 341666, Monday to Friday from 8:30am–6:30pm

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Please tell us:

• if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
• if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, or by text or email
• if you need an interpreter
• if you have any other access or communication needs
